Every sacred tattoo is individually designed by Lama Tashi using traditional Tibetan symbolism creating a deeply personal work of art that reflects both the recipient's intention and the living heritage of Tibetan culture.

Tibetan Sacred Tattoos are based on the sacred Tibetan astrological system and personalized uniquely to each client based on their birth chart.

A personal Buddhist mantra is created for each client to empower and bless them through lifetimes. During the session Lama Tashi teaches these mantras to imprint into your memory and integrate your personal Buddhist mantra into your body, mind, and speech.

Lama Tashi Norbu will join the community in Conroe, Texas for two days of shared practice, artistic expression, and cultural exchange.

The Temple Within brings together chanting, contemplation, sacred art, community gathering, and mindful movement in a space dedicated to reflection and human connection. Throughout the weekend, participants are invited to engage with Tibetan mantras, blessings, artwork, and teachings that have been preserved and transmitted through generations.


In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, remembrance is not the pursuit of something outside ourselves, but a return to the qualities already present within the mind: compassion, wisdom, patience, and awareness. Through collective practice and meaningful conversation, this gathering offers an opportunity to pause from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with these universal human values.

Tibetan Sacred Tattoos

Each tattoo is individually designed through a personal consultation with Lama Tashi, drawing inspiration from the receiver’s life story, personal intentions, spiritual aspirations, and astrological influences.

Due to the limited duration of Lama Tashi's visit, only a small number of appointments will be available during this two-day gathering.

Sacred Artwork Exhibition

Throughout the weekend, guests will have the opportunity to experience a special exhibition of Lama Tashi Norbu's contemporary Tibetan artwork.

These works bridge ancient wisdom and modern expression, offering reflections on mindfulness, compassion, wisdom, and awakening.

Throughout this gathering, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Tibetan chanting, sacred art, community practice, and meaningful conversation in an atmosphere of reflection and connection.

We look forward to sharing these two days of culture, creativity, and contemplation with the Conroe community.

May this gathering serve as a reminder of the compassion, wisdom, and awareness that already reside within each of us.

Day 1: Arrival in Phuntsholing

Arrive at Phuntsholing, Bhutan’s border town with India. Complete immigration formalities and obtain your permits. Explore this gateway town where Indian and Bhutanese cultures meet. Visit Zangto Pelri Lhakhang and begin your sacred journey from Phuntsholing to Bjimena.

Drive to Bjimena (approximately 4–6 hours), a quieter route through subtropical forests and small villages. Bjimena offers an off-the-beaten-path experience of rural Bhutan. Explore the surroundings and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, deeply connected with nature. Experience authentic village life, traditional hospitality, and monastic culture at Bjimena Nyindey Monastery.

Day 2-5 : Nyidey monastery

Travel to the Nyidey Monastery area. Nyidey Monastery is a serene meditation center with beautiful valley views. Spend time exploring the monastery, observing monks at prayer, and learning about Buddhist practices. The monastery offers a peaceful retreat atmosphere.

Take walks around the monastery grounds and surrounding areas. Engage with monastic life and participate in activities as opportunities arise.

Day 6:  In Thimphu

Drive to Thimphu (approximately 1 hour). Upon arrival in Bhutan’s capital, visit the massive Buddha Dordenma statue (51.5 meters tall).  After that, visit the Motithang Takin Preserve (home to Bhutan’s national animal).  In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, the impressive fortress housing the throne room and government offices (exterior view; interior access requires special permission).

Dinner at Simply Bhutan (cultural experience).

Day 7: To explore Thimphu  

Visit the Buddha Dordenma statue again along with the National Memorial Chorten, a spiritual center where locals gather for prayers and circumambulation. After lunch, visit the Bhutan School for Arts and Crafts (Painting School), where students learn Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts, including painting, sculpture, and embroidery.

Day 8 -10: Thimphu to Dochula Pass

Drive to Dochula Pass (3,100 m, approximately 1 hour). Spend time at this spectacular location featuring 108 memorial chortens (Druk Wangyal Chortens), built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers. On clear days, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan range, including peaks over 7,000 meters. Visit Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, known for its unique paintings depicting Bhutanese history and royal lineage. Take a peaceful walk around the chortens. Return to Thimphu in the afternoon.

Visit the organic vegetable market and explore local shops for Bhutanese souvenirs.

Day 9: Thimphu to Paro

Drive to Paro Valley (approximately 1.5 hours). En route, visit Paro Rinpung Dzong and cross the traditional wooden cantilever bridge (Nyamai Zam).  After lunch, visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong), showcasing Bhutanese art, artifacts, and natural history.

Enjoy an evening stroll through Paro town. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 10: Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Early start for the iconic hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), one of Bhutan’s most sacred sites. The monastery clings dramatically to a cliff face 900 meters above the valley floor. Legend says Guru Rinpoche flew here on a tigress’s back in the 8th century to meditate. The round-trip hike takes 5-6 hours with a cafeteria at the halfway viewpoint offering the famous Tiger’s Nest view. The climb is challenging but incredibly rewarding. Afternoon return to Paro for rest and recovery. Consider a traditional hot stone bath (Dotsho) in the evening to soothe tired muscles. Overnight in Paro.

Day 11: Punakha

Punakha Dzong, known as the "Palace of Great Happiness", is Bhutan's second-oldest and second-largest dzong. Located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (male river)and Mo Chhu (female rivers) in Punakha, it features three massive courtyards, a stunning 100-pillar assembly hall, and sacred relics of the Drukpa Lineage

Day 12 -14: Reach Phuntsholing

Bhutan’s border town with India. Explore this gateway town where Indian and Bhutanese cultures meet. Visit Zangto Pelri Lhakhang and shopping things as souvenir and experience the real taste of organic edible… 

And then to the closing ceremony with the glories blessing of mantras.

Receive a traditional sacred tattoo from internationally recognized artist Lama Tashi Norbu. Drawing on centuries of Buddhist artistic tradition, each tattoo is personally designed with care, symbolism, and purpose. These meaningful works are more than decorative—they are enduring reminders of the qualities and aspirations you wish to carry forward in your life.

Tattoo Offerings:

  • Standard Size Tattoo — $480 CAD or (the USD equivalent ~$345 USD)

  • Full Size Tattoo — $680 CAD or (the USD equivalent ~$485 USD)

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). A 50% deposit secures your spot when you book.

Sacred tattoo appointments with Lama Tashi are limited and are offered by advance reservation. If you feel drawn to receive one of these meaningful works, we encourage you to secure your appointment early.

Tibetan Healing Festival - Emmen, Netherlands

On 17 May 2026, the Tibetan Healing Festival will take place.

The festival begins at 11:00 a.m. with an opening speech by Lama Tashi Norbu. This is followed by a Mantra session and a Dharma talk. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to ask questions. After this session, there will be a break and time for lunch.

In the afternoon, the workshops begin. You can choose between the Buddha painting workshop, Mala making, or Tsa Tsa making. A Tsa Tsa is a small sacred object or votive tablet from Tibetan Buddhism, usually made of clay using a mold.

Around 4:00 p.m., the day concludes with closing words from Lama Tashi.

Throughout the day, you can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and juices. Lunch consists of soup, bread, and a variety of small dishes.

The cost for this day is 35 euros per person, including one workshop. Lunch costs 7.50 euros per person.

Receive a sacred Tibetan “Flash Tattoo” for the symbolic amount of 99 euros. Choose a word of your choice or the Om ༄།ཨཱཽཾ།࿂ in Tibetan.

Join us for this special day of creation, mantras, meditation and ceremony.

Drink tea as you browse through the sacred collection of Contemporary Tibetan Art, available for purchase, by  Buddhist Monk Lama Tashi Norbu. Generously priced, you can take home your own sacred masterpiece that will immediately raise the frequency of your studio, business, or living space. 

When he is not tattooing, socializing and sharing his wisdom, Lama Tashi will be live painting for your viewing pleasure, with the invitation to paint beside him. Art canvases and supplies will be available (donations accepted) for your enjoyment from 1pm-7pm. Explore your own talent and creativity beside an international accredited Tibetan artist and ceremonialist, and other like-minded souls.

From 7-10pm we will collectively create ceremonial space. Please arrive by 6:45 if you plan on attending for the evening event. 

Lama Tashi Norbu will open the container with mantras and meditation. Ordained Priestess and Akashic Wisdom Keeper Cynthia Portlock will the deepen us into a shamanic journey with Green Tara, with a sound bath to integrate. Energies of divine love, kindness and compassion will permeate the air, leaving you feeling relaxed and peaceful.
