The Temple Within:

A Sacred Gathering of Remembrance

Septermber 12–13, 2026
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Church of the Christed Self
Conroe, Texas

Lama Tashi Norbu will join the community in Conroe, Texas for two days of shared practice, artistic expression, and cultural exchange.

The Temple Within brings together chanting, contemplation, sacred art, community gathering, and mindful movement in a space dedicated to reflection and human connection. Throughout the weekend, participants are invited to engage with Tibetan mantras, blessings, artwork, and teachings that have been preserved and transmitted through generations.

In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, remembrance is not the pursuit of something outside ourselves, but a return to the qualities already present within the mind: compassion, wisdom, patience, and awareness. Through collective practice and meaningful conversation, this gathering offers an opportunity to pause from the busyness of daily life and reconnect with these universal human values.

Registration details, Day to day Schedule and Tibetan Sacred Tattoo Information are written below!

Each tattoo is individually designed through a personal consultation with Lama Tashi, drawing inspiration from the receiver’s life story, personal intentions, spiritual aspirations, and astrological influences.

Due to the limited duration of Lama Tashi's visit, only a small number of appointments will be available during this two-day gathering.
Advance reservation is recommended

Sacred Artwork Exhibition

Throughout the weekend, guests will have the opportunity to experience a special exhibition of Lama Tashi Norbu's contemporary Tibetan artwork.

These works bridge ancient wisdom and modern expression, offering reflections on mindfulness, compassion, wisdom, and awakening.

Throughout this gathering, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Tibetan chanting, sacred art, community practice, and meaningful conversation in an atmosphere of reflection and connection.

We look forward to sharing these two days of culture, creativity, and contemplation with the Conroe community.

May this gathering serve as a reminder of the compassion, wisdom, and awareness that already reside within each of us.

The temple has always been within you.

Tibetan Sacred Art & Sacred Tattoo: Lama Tashi Norbu — Sedona, Arizona

Experience the Living Tradition of Tibetan Sacred Art

Lama Tashi Norbu, an ordained Tibetan Buddhist monk and internationally recognized Tibetan artist, brings the living tradition of Tibetan sacred art to Sedona.

During his time in Sedona, a limited selection of original Tibetan sacred paintings will be available for those wishing to bring an authentic work of Himalayan Buddhist art into their home, meditation space, or personal practice.

These are not simply decorative paintings.

Each work carries the visual language, symbolism, and spiritual traditions of Tibetan Buddhist art, created through a practice rooted in contemplation, devotion, meditation, and generations of artistic heritage.

A Special Highlight: Sedona Yoga Festival 2026

October 1–4, 2026 | Sedona, Arizona

Lama Tashi Norbu will also be part of the spiritual and wellness community gathering at the Sedona Yoga Festival 2026.

The four-day festival brings together yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, sound healing, metaphysics, conscious conversation, music, excursions, and teachers from diverse traditions in an environment dedicated to personal and collective evolution.

This makes Sedona a particularly meaningful setting to encounter Lama Tashi's work — where sacred art, contemplative practice, embodiment, and spiritual exploration come together.

Join Lama Tashi Norbu at the Sedona Yoga Festival and experience an authentic connection to Tibetan Buddhist art and wisdom.

Original Tibetan Sacred Paintings

A limited collection of Lama Tashi Norbu's original paintings will be available for viewing and acquisition.

The works portray sacred Buddhist figures, symbols, mandalas, and spiritual themes drawn from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

For collectors, practitioners, meditation spaces, yoga studios, healing spaces, and anyone deeply connected to Tibetan Buddhist art, this is a rare opportunity to encounter and acquire an original work directly from the artist.

Each original painting is unique.

Journey into the Living Heart of Tibetan Buddhism

Join Lama Tashi on a sacred pilgrimage through the breathtaking Himalayan region of Ladakh, often known as "Little Tibet."
Surrounded by majestic mountains, ancient monasteries, and vibrant Buddhist communities, this remarkable land has preserved Tibetan Buddhist traditions for centuries.

This special pilgrimage coincides with one of the most meaningful celebrations in Tibetan Buddhism—the birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on July 6th. Together with local communities, monks, and nuns, participants will experience this joyful occasion through prayers, cultural celebrations, and shared moments of gratitude.

Drawing from decades of artistic practice and Buddhist wisdom, Lama Tashi offers more than a journey through extraordinary landscapes. Through meditation, meaningful conversations, and authentic encounters with Himalayan Buddhist communities, he invites you to deepen your understanding of Tibetan culture, compassion, and the timeless teachings of Buddhism.

Whether you are beginning your spiritual journey or have practiced Buddhism for many years, this Sacred Journey offers an opportunity for reflection, connection, and transformation.

Sacred Journey Highlights

Celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Birthday

One of the defining moments of this pilgrimage is celebrating the birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on July 6th alongside local Buddhist communities.

Witness prayers, traditional ceremonies, and joyful cultural celebrations that reflect the deep respect and devotion held throughout the Himalayan region.

Experience Living Tibetan Buddhism

Visit active monasteries where Buddhist traditions continue to thrive, offering rare opportunities to experience Tibetan Buddhism as a living tradition rather than a historical monument.

Meet monks and nuns, observe daily monastic life, and gain insights into centuries-old spiritual practices that continue to guide communities throughout Ladakh.

Learn from Lama Tashi

Throughout the pilgrimage, Lama Tashi shares Buddhist teachings, personal reflections, and practical wisdom that bridge ancient philosophy with modern life.

His guidance encourages mindfulness, compassion, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the Buddhist path.

Meditate in the Himalayas

Experience guided meditation surrounded by the vast silence and beauty of the Himalayan mountains.

These moments of stillness invite inner clarity while allowing participants to connect deeply with both nature and themselves.

Visit Ladakh's Sacred Monasteries

Explore some of the region's most treasured spiritual sites, including:

  • Shanti Stupa

  • Thiksey Monastery

  • Lamayuru Monastery

  • Atitse Monastery

  • Alchi Monastery

  • Shey Palace

Each destination reveals another chapter of Ladakh's rich Buddhist history, artistic heritage, and enduring spiritual traditions.

Journey to Pangong Lake

Travel across dramatic Himalayan passes to the breathtaking Pangong Lake, one of the highest alpine lakes in the world.

Its crystal-clear waters, changing colors, and peaceful surroundings provide unforgettable moments of reflection and awe.

Experience the Culture of Ladakh

Discover the warmth and hospitality of Ladakh through its villages, traditional markets, local cuisine, and centuries-old customs.

Meet local people whose daily lives continue to be shaped by Buddhist values of compassion, generosity, and community.

Evening Reflection & Meditation

As each day comes to a close, gather with Lama Tashi for meditation, meaningful conversations, and shared reflections.

These intimate evening sessions provide space to integrate the day's experiences, ask questions, deepen your understanding of Buddhist teachings, and connect with fellow participants.

Your Participation Creates Impact

Every Sacred Journey helps preserve something greater than the journey itself.

By joining this pilgrimage, you become part of Lama Tashi's mission to preserve Tibetan Buddhist culture, strengthen relationships with Himalayan monastic communities, and inspire greater understanding between cultures.

Throughout the journey, participants will have opportunities to learn about the challenges facing Tibetan Buddhist communities and discover meaningful ways to support monasteries, monks, nuns, and cultural preservation initiatives.
